Guess I'm the first ford guy.
As you can tell by the name I drive a maverick, although not technically a muscle car close enough right? Its a 4 door that had an 88 crown vic 5.0 that I threw a set of trick flow heads on and a t70 turbo with powerjection efi. I blew that engine my last visit to the drag strip so now I'm putting in a 5.0 h.o. from an 87 mustang and converting to multiport efi with a megasquirt engine managment system. Plan is to just throw in the stock engine until I can save for a dart block to handle the power I want to throw at it. It aint pretty but I love it. I'd post a pic but it says no external links allowed.

Welcome to the forum Dan. If you want, feel free to invite people from your maverick forum or other ford forums here so you could have more ford guys to talk to.
You started working on the Maverick again? Are you using the same setup as last time?
And not being able to add pictures is odd. You should be able to post external links with no problems.

When I try to link a photo it says "New members are not allowed to post external links or emails for 7 days. Please contact the forum administrator for more information"

I'll fix that. Give me a few minutes. It must be one of the base forum settings.
Re: Guess I'm the first ford guy.
The set up is going to be mostly the same except it will be completely stock engine with the multiport injection but throw on the turbo and 42lbs/hr injectors while I save for the next engine.

Are you turning the boost back a bit this time? Or are you just going to keep the stock heads on it for now?
Also, you should be able to post pictures and videos now.

Good idea. That way if in the worst case scenario, if anything decides to go you don't be damaging your trickflow's.
Re: Guess I'm the first ford guy.
They were damaged the last time $750 later they're fixed. I had just never got around to putting the hood back on. Here's the vid of it letting go.

Saw it before, but ouch. Luckily you could fix the heads though. Sucks that it cost that much, but luckily it's still less expensive than getting another new set of trickflows.
